Stellantis Financial Services Car Finance Claim — Full Guide (2026)
Scheme status (updated 5 August 2026): parts of the FCA motor finance redress scheme are temporarily suspended while the Upper Tribunal considers legal challenges. Lenders do not currently have to calculate or pay compensation under the scheme, the original decision and payment dates no longer apply, and no payment under the scheme is guaranteed. If the scheme proceeds, first payments are expected in 2027 at the earliest. Any dates mentioned below were set before the suspension.
If you financed a vehicle through any Stellantis brand between April 2007 and November 2024, you may be entitled to compensation under the FCA confirmed motor finance redress scheme (PS26/3, 30 March 2026). Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd is the single captive finance entity behind Peugeot, Citroën, Vauxhall, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep and DS in the UK. Stellantis has provisioned £37 million for PS26/3 redress. Average payout: £829.

Who Is Stellantis Financial Services?
Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd was formed in 2023 as a joint venture between Stellantis (the automotive group formed by the merger of PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) and BNP Paribas Personal Finance. It combines the activities of three predecessor entities:
- PSA Finance UK Ltd — previously provided finance for Peugeot, Citroën and DS
- Vauxhall Finance — previously provided finance for Vauxhall
- FCA Automotive Services — previously provided finance for Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Jeep
For PS26/3 purposes, Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd is responsible for agreements arranged through all of these predecessor entities during the eligible period, regardless of which brand or trading name appeared on the original agreement.
All Stellantis Brands Covered by PS26/3
All regulated PCP and HP agreements arranged through franchised UK dealerships for the following brands between 6 April 2007 and 1 November 2024 are within scope:
- Peugeot — see: Peugeot car finance claim
- Citroën — see: Citroën car finance claim
- Vauxhall — see: Vauxhall car finance claim
- Fiat — see: Fiat car finance claim
- Alfa Romeo — see: Alfa Romeo car finance claim
- Jeep — see: Jeep car finance claim
- DS Automobiles — arranged through the same entity as Peugeot and Citroën
- Maserati — within the Stellantis group, high-value agreements
Is Stellantis Financial Services Covered by PS26/3?
Yes. Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd is an FCA-regulated lender and has publicly provisioned £37 million for PS26/3 redress, confirming it is actively preparing to pay compensation. MSE forum data confirmed that Stellantis (then PSA Finance) did use Discretionary Commission Arrangements on Peugeot agreements from at least 2005 onwards.
Three Grounds for a Stellantis Finance Claim
1. Discretionary Commission Arrangements (DCAs)
Prior to 28 January 2021, dealers arranging Stellantis finance could vary the interest rate within a range set by the lender, earning more commission the higher the rate. Where this was not disclosed, it is compensable under PS26/3. MSE forum reports confirm DCA confirmations on Peugeot agreements going back to at least 2005.
2. Unfairly High Fixed Commission
Post-January 2021 agreements may qualify where the fixed commission met the FCA threshold of 39% of the total cost of credit and 10% of the loan amount.
3. Contractual Ties
The FCA scheme excludes the contractual tie ground where the lender and dealer share a visible brand association — for example, a Peugeot dealer arranging Peugeot Finance. This exclusion applies to Stellantis brand-specific agreements in the same way it applies to VW Group and Renault Group. DCA and unfairly high commission grounds apply fully.
Claiming for Multiple Stellantis Agreements
If you financed more than one Stellantis brand vehicle — for example a Vauxhall and a Peugeot — each agreement is a separate claim with a separate potential payout. See: Multiple Car Finance Agreements.
How Much Could You Receive?
The FCA confirmed average payout is £829 per eligible agreement. Use our car finance claims calculator to estimate your specific payout.
Scheme Timetable (Original Dates, Now Suspended)
Post-April 2014 agreements: Complain before 30 June 2026 → lender must respond by 30 September 2026 → payment by November 2026
Pre-April 2014 agreements: Complain before 31 August 2026 → decision by 30 November 2026 → payment by January 2027
Final complaint deadline: 31 August 2027
Under the original timetable, complaining before 30 June 2026 placed you in the earliest payment cohort. Those dates are suspended; complaining is still free and puts your complaint on record, but no payment under the scheme is guaranteed while the suspension stands.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Peugeot agreement says PSA Finance. Who do I complain to?
PSA Finance UK Ltd was the predecessor to Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd. For PS26/3 purposes, your complaint goes to Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd. Use the FCA’s lender list to confirm the current complaint address.
My Vauxhall agreement says Vauxhall Finance or GMAC. Who do I complain to?
Vauxhall Finance and GMAC were predecessor entities now consolidated into Stellantis Financial Services. Your complaint goes to Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd.
I have a Peugeot and a Vauxhall both financed through Stellantis. Can I claim for both?
Yes. Each is a separate claim. See: Multiple Car Finance Agreements.
Is £37 million enough to cover all Stellantis claims?
The £37 million provision was announced before PS26/3 was confirmed. Stellantis Financial Services is part of a joint venture with BNP Paribas — one of Europe’s largest banks — and the provision is expected to be updated as the scheme progresses. Complaining early puts you in the priority payment cohort.
Think You May Have a Motor Finance Claim?
The FCA estimates average compensation of around £830 per eligible agreement, but eligibility and payment amounts vary. Some customers may receive nothing. Complaints about agreements started from 1 April 2014 should be submitted by 30 June 2026 to be considered under the earlier timetable. Different dates apply to older agreements. The scheme is currently subject to legal challenge, so dates and payment timings may change.
