About Gavin
Gavin leads the content and claims guidance at Claims Bible, where his job is turning complicated consumer rights — FCA redress schemes, ombudsman routes, no win no fee agreements — into plain English that helps people work out whether they have a claim and what it’s worth. He has written and reviewed the guidance across every claim category on this site.
Claims Bible is a trading style of Forces Compare Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 10345563) and authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for regulated claims management activities under FRN 785329. Gavin works from the company’s base near Bristol.
What he covers
Housing disrepair, car finance commission claims, unaffordable lending, personal injury and military deafness, flight delays, and car write-off valuation disputes — plus tracking the litigation and regulation that moves these markets, from the FCA’s motor finance redress scheme to the Pan-NOx diesel judgment.
Editorial standards
See our full editorial policy for how figures are sourced and content is reviewed.
Every guide on Claims Bible follows the same rules: figures and legal positions are checked against primary sources — the FCA, the relevant ombudsman or compensation scheme, legislation and court judgments — before publication; the free route to redress is signposted on every claim page, because nobody needs a claims company to make a complaint; and pages are updated when the law changes, not left to drift. Where a claim type stops being available — as with diesel emissions and data breach claims — the pages say so plainly rather than keep selling.
