PSA Financial Services Car Finance Claim — Peugeot, Citroën and DS Compensation 2026
Scheme status (updated 5 August 2026): parts of the FCA motor finance redress scheme are temporarily suspended while the Upper Tribunal considers legal challenges. Lenders do not currently have to calculate or pay compensation under the scheme, the original decision and payment dates no longer apply, and no payment under the scheme is guaranteed. If the scheme proceeds, first payments are expected in 2027 at the earliest. Any dates mentioned below were set before the suspension.
If you financed a Peugeot, Citroën or DS vehicle through PSA Financial Services (PSA Finance UK Ltd) between 6 April 2007 and 1 November 2024, you are entitled to compensation under the FCA confirmed motor finance redress scheme (PS26/3, 30 March 2026). PSA Financial Services is the predecessor entity to Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd, which took over all PSA finance activities in 2023. Average payout: £829.
PSA Financial Services Is Now Stellantis Financial Services
PSA Finance UK Ltd — which traded as PSA Financial Services and provided finance for Peugeot, Citroën and DS vehicles — was consolidated into Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd in 2023 when Stellantis formed a joint venture with BNP Paribas. For PS26/3 purposes, whether your agreement names PSA Finance, PSA Financial Services, Peugeot Finance, Citroën Financial Services or Stellantis Financial Services, all refer to the same lender group. Your complaint goes to Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd.
Is PSA Financial Services Covered by PS26/3?
Yes. PSA Finance UK Ltd / Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd is FCA-regulated and all regulated PCP and HP agreements arranged through franchised Peugeot, Citroën and DS dealerships between 6 April 2007 and 1 November 2024 are within scope. MoneySavingExpert forum data confirmed that DCA use on Peugeot agreements through PSA Finance has been confirmed going back to at least 2005.
Three Grounds for a PSA Financial Services Claim
1. Discretionary Commission Arrangements (DCAs)
Prior to 28 January 2021, PSA Finance dealers could vary your interest rate within a range. DCA use has been confirmed on PSA Finance agreements. Where not disclosed, you are entitled to compensation.
2. Unfairly High Fixed Commission
Post-January 2021 agreements may qualify where the fixed commission met the FCA threshold of 39% of the total cost of credit and 10% of the loan amount.
3. Contractual Ties
The tied arrangement exclusion applies where the lender and dealer share a visible brand association. DCA and high commission grounds apply fully to PSA Finance agreements.
